Easter and Birthday’s….

We spent pretty much our usual Easter together.  It was still a little cool to swim, but the kids didn’t seem to mind for a little while.

Then it was on to Easter Egg hunt in the front yard.

Some eggs were hidden in unusual places and additional help was needed to retrieve them.

Of course, they all enjoyed looking at all their finds and eating the candy.

Later, it was time for a bike ride.  Kaiden had just learned to ride his bike the week before, so he was really getting around good.    I love watching them grow up and learn new things.

Maggie gave up on the bike and went to the Dora car.  A friend gave Rebecca the Dora car a couple of years ago and Maggie really didn’t want to have anything to do with it, but now, she is a pro!
Even Lincoln was there J

Then it was on to April birthdays for Rebecca and Maggie.  We went to Gringos for Rebecca's birthday and enjoyed good food and it is always entertaining with our family!
Chris' gift was a hit!  A new Very Bradley purse and wallet.
Maggie's birthday was a Team Umizoomi party with a Milli cake.  Chris and I made the cake like we usually do.

The party was at the Jumpin Jungle and everyone had a great time.  Lots of jumpin, sliding, and laughing!

Spring Baseball....

We spent most of March watching Cameron play baseball with Nasa Area Little League.  Chris was coach of his team again they played twice a week.  We made most of the games and it really brought back memories when Chris and Erik played baseball.  We spent many many hours at the ball fields when they were young.  David coached every year the boys played and we are really proud watching Chris coach.  He has patience with the boys and really wants them to have fun and learn the game of baseball.  Here are some of my favorite shots from the regular season.
Coach Chris (Dad) with Cameron watching the game.  Love this one!

We were also able to make it to Zachary’s first T-Ball game.  He was sooo stinkin cute and had such a good time playing.  Shirt, hat and definitely the socks were all too big for him, but he didn’t care one bit.  He is quite the natural athlete and loves to play ball.  Here are some shots I took that night.

After the regular season, comes All Stars.  Chris was asked to coach the West team and thus began more intense baseball.  The All Start team did very well coming in 2nd in their tournament!  Here are some of my favorite shots from the All Star season.

As a side note, I took a photography workshop just before the All Star season started and took all the pictures of those games in manual mode!  I love taking pictures and always have, but never considered myself very good.  When I get a good shot, it is usually by just luck.  Although, taking sporting event shots isn’t easy, I did get some good shots.  Can't wait for next year to do it all over again!

*I'm a novus blogger and still working on getting my pictures to place where I want them.  Please excuse me while I am learning.

Gift for a friend...

I have a friend from my Ladies Bible Group that is going thru cancer treatments.  She is such a sweet and nice person and is really having a challenging time right now.  We decided to give her a "Blessing" box of things to lift her spirit.  We have things from a homemade quilt signed by each of us to a bracelet and many other things that people will give her.  I made a frame with a scripture which I thought she could sit by her chair or bed as a daily reflection of God's grace.  I hope she likes it!

Brady’s Birthday…

Brady had a “Cars 2 Race” Birthday Party.  At least that what he calls it.  He LOVES cars, planes, trains and just about anything with wheels.  He wanted Nannie (he calls me Nannie instead of Nana) to make his cake.  My first attempt at the cake was a flop, I guess because I didn’t have Rebecca to make the cake for me!  She usually bakes the cake so Chris & I can decorate.  My icing didn’t come out right either, so we decided to let Brady decorate it.
He wasn’t’ too sure about tasting the icing, but once he did, he didn’t want to stop.
Take 2…finally got the right version.
I made a few other items to decorate for the party and these items will then decorate his room.
When Cindy went to put the candle on the cake, Brady insisted it could not go on the cake, so she put it on the cupcake.
 He loved it!
 All the kids played outside,

then it was time for presents
We got Brady a small trampoline and he helped Erik and Pops put it together.
 He also waiting patiently…
Then, it was time to jump.  He wasn’t too sure at first and wanted Daddy to hold his hand.
It only took him about 10 minutes to jump on his own.
SUCH A CUTE BIRTHDAY BOY!
